The Pastor & Overseer

Bishop Joseph King

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I Bishop Joseph King would love to have you fellowship at New Beginnings Apostolic Faith Ministries. If you want the chains of bondage broken, and to be set free, worship and serve God in the beauty of holiness, this is the place for you. The word of God will help you prosper and be in health as stated in the book of 3 John 2. God called me for such a time as this to help set the captive free, mend broken hearts through the comforting word of God. I believe in laying hands on the sick and they shall recover. God told me to Take the Kingdom of God to the People, and build the church family, the people will help build the vision. In 1991 God gave me a vision called the 90 Day Wonder. This vision will establish temporary shelter for the abused spouse, children, senior citizen, and for those who need assistance with a new start in life. Out of this vision came the name of this ministry “New Beginnings Apostolic Faith Ministries”.

Acts 2:38 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

My history in the Ministry I was born and raised in Walterboro South Carolina where my early church teaching and training was at St. James Church of God in Christ. After graduating from high school I joined the US Army, and went back into the world. While stationed at my first duty station Fort Hood, Texas I rededicated my life to the Lord. I accepted my call to ministry in August 1976 while station in Colorado. In November 1976 with my first wife, we met the Late Bishop Tom Parson Sr. and Evangelist Yvonne Parson of Hagerstown, Maryland who took us under their wings then taught and trained me and my wife in the apostolic doctrine. Bishop Parson was at that time the vice-Chairman of the Pentecostal Assemblies(PA) of Jesus Christ, Inc. Ministries out of Harve D’ Grace, Maryland. In Brunswick Maryland, January 1977. I preached my first message “Dead Leaves Must Fall”. I served 21 ½ years of military service, out of twelve years of overseas assignment I pastored in three countries. I was ordained to the office of Bishop in August 1998 and serviced as vice chairman under Bishop Tom Parson of the organization he founded after leaving the PA of JC organization
